Powerful Parenting Workshops – Q&A

Hopefully we’ve answered all of your questions here.  If not, please email DebbieK@nlp4kids.org and she’ll get back to you as soon as possible with an answer.  She’s really friendly and all questions are welcome.

What day are the workshops?

The next workshop is on Tuesdays from 7:30 – 9:30pm.

Where are the workshops held?

The workshops are all held at:  No. 28  Market Place, Belper.  DE56 1FZ

Where do I park?

The closest car park is the free one at the Market Place.

How many session are included?

Each workshop has 6 sessions (12 hours in total).

How much does it cost?

One workshop (6 sessions) is £50 per person if you pay before the start of the workshop or £10 per week if you’d rather pay cash on the day.

How do I pay if I want to pay upfront?

When you send me an email to say you’d like to join the workshop, I’ll reply with confirmation you’ve been signed up and my bank details for you to do a bank transfer.

Do I bring my children?

Not to this event, no.  This is a parent only workshop.  I run separate  family workshops, kids only workshops and individual children’s one to ones sessions too if you want something your children can go to.  Please drop me an email (DebbieK@NLP4Kids.org) and I’ll let you know the best option for you.

Is it for parents of young children or teenagers?

This workshop is for parents with children of any age.  The content is given so that all parents can use it and we look at how to use the tools and techniques for specific age groups if it’s applicable.

Do I need any experience?

No experience in NLP is needed.  A small amount of experience of children is helpful 🙂

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope.  Just your payment (if your choosing the weekly payment option), everything else will be provided.

Will there be refreshments?

Yes, tea & coffee (both with and without caffeine) and biscuits will be provided.

How will I be participating/ Do I have to present anything?

Each session is broken down into 3 segments:

  • Review previous week and what you’ve experienced when implementing things at home.
  • New content (this is mainly me talking about stuff and you giving examples or asking questions).
  • You doing an activity relevant to the new content (mainly in pairs or teams).

You’re encouraged to share your thoughts, ideas and learnings but no-one is pushed to.

What if I miss a week?

It’s a shame as you will miss the content and the exercise for that week.  However, there’s no need to stop coming along.  If something happens and you need to miss the rest of the workshop, we can rearrange for you to join one of the next workshops.

Do I have homework?

At the end of each week, you’ll be advised to practice some of the things you’ve learned.  This way we can review your successes and look at any challenges you’ve had and how to fix them in the next session.  However, as with all things in adult life, it’s your choice whether you do the practice or not.

Are you any good at this?

Yes, I believe I am (see NLP confidence building skills work 🙂 ).  Parents who have been on previous workshops seem to think I am too.  You can see what they have to say here:  Testimonials – Workshops

If you get to the workshops and think I’m rubbish, feel free to throw biscuits at me 🙂

Have I answered your question?  If not, let me know (DebbieK@NLP4Kids.org) and I’ll add it on.

See you soon!
